I have the honor to acknowledge the receipt of your letter requesting me, by the order of His Excellency the Governor in Council, to Report on the Plans, Specifications and Estimates for the residence of Assistant Magistrate at Chak-chow, for a Police Station to be created there, and in this town.

I have the honor to report that I approve of the Plan, and the Amounts of the Estimates; but as I presume from the Specifications and Estimates, that
